Right for me?

Hormonal imbalances in women are often characterized by elevated levels of insulin, estrogen, and testosterone, as well as low levels of progesterone. These hormonal imbalances may lead to insulin resistance, weight gain (especially around the belly area), inability to ovulate (infertility), excess hair growth on the face and/or body, irregular menstrual cycles or very heavy periods, or cysts on the ovaries. If a woman experiences some or all of these symptoms, she may be diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or another hormone imbalance.

About Product

The first line of defense against hormonal imbalance is modifying nutrition factors, such as eating fewer carbohydrates from grains, fruit, and sugar. Next is modifying lifestyle factors, such as sleep, gentle exercise, managing chronic stress, and decreasing the amount of estrogen disruptors that enter the body through fragrances, plastics, and other household chemicals.

However, correcting hormonal imbalances often needs more than a change in lifestyle. An extra boost from targeted supplements may enhance the hormonal changes that lifestyle factors cannot. Most women see changes in the PCOS symptoms, such as weight loss and decreased unwanted hair growth, 2-3 months after starting this supplement.

If you get pregnant while taking this supplement, your doctor may or may not recommend you stay on this supplement throughout the pregnancy. Please follow your doctor’s orders. Do not take this with Metformin or other insulin-sensitizing drugs.

If you are experiencing unexplained infertility, and you have regular menstrual cycles and are ovulating regularly, consider Debra Waldoks' Female Fertility Booster instead.

FAQ

Are there any side effects?

Some women notice a slight nausea if they take this supplement on an empty stomach. To avoid this, please make sure to take the supplement on a full stomach. Some women may notice a drop in blood sugar due to enhanced insulin sensitivity. Make sure to eat every 3-5 hours (even a small healthy snack) while taking this supplement. Please consult a doctor if you are pregnant or nursing or experience unwanted symptoms.Ask your doctor if you can take this supplement if you are also taking insulin-sensitizing drugs, such as Metformin.

Is this supplement appropriate for me if I have some but not all of the symptoms listed here?

Yes. Hormonal imbalance symptoms are a result of imbalanced insulin, estrogen, testosterone, other androgens, luteinizing hormone, and progesterone. Depending on how severe the imbalance is, and what your body's adaptive response is, your symptoms will vary. Symptoms may include: weight gain around your midsection, skin tags, irregular or very heave periods, infertility, acne, cysts on your ovaries, hair loss from the top of your head, intense cravings for carbohydrates, hypoglycemic episodes with moodiness, depression or anxiety, dark patches of skin, excess unwanted hair growth on your arms, face, chin, and belly.

Is there anything else I can do to help my hormonal imbalance?

While your hormonal imbalance may never be cured 100%, nutrition and supplements can help minimize your symptoms. Always eat breakfast. Do not drink coffee on an empty stomach. Combine foods containing carbohydrates (i.e. oatmeal, bread, potatoes, pasta) with foods containing protein and fat (i.e. nuts, seeds, eggs, fish, meat, turkey). This is especially important at breakfast to get your blood sugar levels off to an even start for the day. Eat at least 4 cups of non-starchy vegetables every day from different colors, especially cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi. Minimize simple carbs (white bread), sugars, sweets, alcohol, and trans-fats. Eat fish twice/week. Use cinnamon and/or turmeric a few times a week to spice your food.

How long does it take to get regular monthly cycles?

It usually takes 3-6 months to start seeing a result.

Can't I just take birth control to fix my hormone imbalances?

Birth Control does not help your hormone imbalances improve, it just masks the symptoms. The ingredients in this supplement attempt to fix the underlying issue, not just cover them up. With hormone imbalances, women often have insulin resistance. The side effects from the excess insulin often leads to other hormone imbalances, irregular periods, and infertility. There are 3 things you can do to help bring your hormones back in balance:

  1. A nutrition plan that is low in carbohydrates and includes certain insulin- sensitizing foods.
  2. Lifestyle modifications that help prevent xeno-estrogens (chemicals that act ever so slightly like estrogen in the body) from entering your body, i.e. avoiding fragrances and plastics.
  3. Taking targeted supplements, like the ones found in SpecifiCare's Naturally Balanced.

Is Naturally Balanced recommended for menopause symptoms? Is Naturally Balanced good for older women?

Menopause Support Max is recommended for older women who are going through perimenopause. If you are not yet in peri-menopause and still experiencing symptoms of hormonal imbalance, try the Naturally Balanced supplement.

Can I still use this product while breastfeeding?

There is insufficient reliable information available about using the herbs that are in this supplement during breastfeeding. We recommend waiting until you finish nursing and follow our nutrition guidelines instead.

Can I take this with Metformin?

If your blood sugar is not well-controlled on Metformin, your doctor might approve you taking this supplement to help gain more control over your blood sugar. However, if your blood sugar is well-controlled, it is recommended not to take the supplement with Metformin. It might make your blood sugar drop too low. If your doctor decides to take you off of Metformin, this supplement might be a good way to maintain your insulin sensitivity.

Can this help me get pregnant?

When your hormones come into balance, fertility can resume. But it depends on what is causing the infertility and how off-balance your hormone levels are. Our Naturally Balanced supplement can help you get pregnant if you have hormonal imbalance with irregular periods. If your cycles are regular but you are having trouble getting pregnant or maintaining a pregnancy, you might want to try our Female Fertility Booster instead.

I started taking it in March, and just after the 4 pill I started spotting. The next day my period was here after being 4 months late. Before the supplements I too would have very long cycles, and was on rounds of Clomid and only ovulated once in the 4 months I was on Clomid. I often would have to take progesterone to start my cycle. Since I started taking the supplement I went from having cycles that were long to about every 40 days now around 30 days. Definitely worth trying if you have pcos

Well it's been a week since I began taking the supplement. I have to say I have felt significant improvements in sleep, weight deviation, and energy. For someone who has apparently had PCOS for over 20 years and was just diagnosed last year, this has been a feat. I can't wait to see how other symproms gradually change as well. Thank you for this supplement!

It's real, and it does help. I started taking it about a month ago. So far, it's helped reduce the acne, cut down on mood swings, and I've lost about a lb a week since I started taking it, without changing my diet
