Right for me?

More than 70% of women in the United States are using some sort of birth control method in their daily life and a whopping 67% of those women are using hormonal contraceptives (a.k.a. "the pill"). Sadly, what many women are unaware of, is that new scientific research concludes that birth control pills cause significant nutritional deficiencies in the body.

According to Elson Haas, MD, birth control pills (BCPs) are both the "most effective and the most hazardous form of contraception". BCPs raise the body's natural estrogen and progesterone hormone levels to dangerously high amounts. This prevents the pituitary hormones that stimulate ovulation and fertilization of the egg from being released, and thus prevents pregnancy.

Ross Pelton, R. Ph, pharmacist and nutritionist says: “When it comes down to it, all the B vitamins are depleted from oral contraceptive use. Magnesium, selenium, zinc, and CoQ10 are depleted as well.”

According to Dr. Pelton: "One study revealed that the women taking the contraceptives were almost two times as likely to develop depression as non-users. Vitamin B6 is required for the production of serotonin,” he says. "Serotonin gets converted to melatonin, which is why a B6 deficiency may lead to sleep problems. Sleep problems are often diagnosed and treated with drugs, when a B6 supplement may be effective. Any time I can keep a woman off prescription drugs I consider it a service.”

The natural way to balance these deficiencies is through diet. However, since BCPs create a high deficiency of the following nutrients, it becomes impossible to fix the deficiency through diet alone. That is why dietary supplements are advised by scientific and clinical studies.

The Science Behind the Ingredients:

Magnesium Oxide

A research study of 1600 women, taking birth control pills, concludes that "women on the pill showed significantly lower serum magnesium values than other nonpregnant women of similar age" Read Study

Vitamin C

A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests that "the mean concentration of ascorbic acid in women who had received oral contraceptive drugs was significantly less [than control]" Read Study

Zinc Citrate

A scientific study, on 251 healthy women, aged 19-30 years, taking oral contraceptives, reports that "serum zinc level was significantly lower than that of controls" Read Study

Vitamin B1

An open trial study indicates that "oral contraceptives cause the induction of a mild thiamine hypovitaminosis" Read Study

Vitamin B2

A randomized, placebo-controlled, trial shows that "the use of (oral contraceptive agents) OCA aggravates the prevalence of [vitamin B2] deficiency" Read Study

Vitamin B6

A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition conveys that "a dose of 30mg is recommended to correct the altered vitamin B6 metabolism resulting from OCA use" Read Study

Folic Acid

A research study comes to the conclusion that "OCA use... results in folate deficiency" Read Study

Vitamin B12

A randomized, placebo-controlled, study determines that the "mean concentration of vitamin B12 was significantly decreased" Read Study

Selenium

A cross-section study found that "Oral contraceptive use significantly decreased Selenium levels"  Read Study

Coenzyme q10

The same cross-section study reports that "Oral contraceptive use significantly decreased coenzyme Q10Read Study

Vitamin E

A research study published in a journal in the European Review for Medical and Pharmacological Sciences indicates that "OC users showed significant decrease in plasma vitamin E" Read Study

About Product

The pill has  been shown to affect a number of metabolic and nutritional processes. They decrease the physiologic levels of 11 crucial nutrients; Magnesium, Vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Selenium, Vitamin E, Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin B12.

Auxi™ is a natural formula specifically created to help women suffering from nutrient deficiencies caused by birth control pills (BCPs). What makes Auxi™ so effective is that it contains the 11 most important nutrients that are depleted by birth control pills, these include; Magnesium, Vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Selenium, Vitamin E, Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin B12. In this way, the body naturally gets back exactly what was stolen from it.

Suzy Cohen, RPh, "America's Most Trusted Pharmacist" and author of Drug Muggers had this to say about birth control pills: "There are drug muggers of at least eight different nutrients. If you take for more than a year, it could cause problems like panic attacks, chronic fatigue, higher risk of gallstones, depression, hypothyroidism, and weight gain. It's all due to the hormones stealing the nutrients which are required by your body to make natural, happy, healthy neurotransmitters and sex hormones." See Full Article

I have been on the pill for a year now and noticed some pain in my joints and feeling less energetic too. My doctor said it’s natural but i was skeptic. One day I decided that I had enough and I looked online to find the possible cause of my condition. There were many blogs and articles about how birth control steals all the nutrients from your body. And Dr. Pelton wrote a whole book about it! That’s when I searched for natural solutions and found Auxi. After a few months, I feel much better. No more joint pain and have much more energy. Thanks specificare!

I use this Auxi for a year now. Before this I felt awful on the pill. They have a version for low sex drive on the pill, which many of my friends complain about! This seems more cost effective and convenient than buying these vitamins seprately.

I love this product. I have been on the pill for my whole adult life and always felt that it was causing me problems. I used to take powdered green whole foods and after months of slugging down just awful, chalky tasting goo, I found Auxi. They give me heaps of energy and allow me to reduce my other supplements. In Australia, it is hard to find products of this quality and never for this value! Try it...I imagine you'll be pleasantly surprised.

After a week of taking this product, I noticed I become a bit more "alive" - not that sleepy and tired at evenings, less headache during early wake-ups. I love specificare
